Tuesday, June 24, 2014
Time: Noon - 1:00 PM CDT
It’s one thing to be clear, concise, and in control of your message when you’re speaking to a group of people in a live conference room setting. It’s an entirely different thing to keep audience members attentive and engaged when presenting virtually.
It’s not just learning how to run the meeting software. That’s the easy part. The real issues are (1) getting people to want to participate and (2) communicating well using the technology so that what you say is actually heard and understood..

Dinner Meeting: Moving a Mountain (or a Children's Hospital)
Thursday, July 17, 2014
Time: 5:30 - 8:30 PMCDT
Children's Memorial hospital moved three miles to 225 East Chicago Avenue, and became Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. All 5,300 employees and physicians working in the new hospital were to navigate the state-of-the-art 23-floor high-rise pediatric facility from moment one - using new equipment, new systems and new workflows while continuing to provide the highest level of patient care for some of the most seriously ill infants and children. The Moment One Readiness Orientation incorporated multiple instructional modes to accommodate diverse audiences and content types: virtual hospital activities, on-site tours of the new building, eLearning modules, drop-in labs, workshops, simulations, and reinforcement games. Learn of their successes.
Presenters: Diana Halfer and Julia Hooper, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago
