Community Relations

If you are a community service or non-profit organization and need some assistance, or if you have suggestions on organizations we should reach out to, please contact the CCASTD Community Relations mailbox at: ccastd.community@gmail.com
CCASTD Community Relations is committed to the following:
- Being an integral part of the community.
- Offering up assistance in a manner that will develop our community and the people who live within.
- Assist organizations whose goal is the betterment of human welfare and community resilience.
- Offering assistance to strengthen organizations, their employees, and their clients.
- Sharing our knowledge, tools, and energy in the promotion of organizational and personal growth.
- The power of assessment, learning, evaluation, and human performance and the role they have in developing our community.
- The growth of its members through an exchange of talents and personal growth and development.
Our mission is to provide training and development solutions to community organizations challenged by today’s performance issues. Many non-profits struggle to build or sustain departments dedicated to adult learning, development and performance issues – we are here to help! Whether it is providing services directly to clients (through mentoring, coaching, teaching) or servicing the needs of the larger organization (training, evaluation, board development), CCASTD members can bridge gaps and provide valuable expertise in an effort to contribute to community organizations and their missions.
Community Relations is also committed to giving back to our community through community service activities. Prior events have included sorting food at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. If you are a non-profit organization and need some extra hands, let us know how we can help.

Would you like to give back to the community?
Do you have Training & Development or other skills that you would like to share?
Are there Training & Development skills you would like to develop further?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are in the right place!
CCASTD offers opportunities for Training & Development professionals to share their expertise with
non-profit organizations and further develop desired T&D skills and talents as outlined in the ASTD Competency Model.
From time to time, we also need extra hands to volunteer in community service events – no experience required.
