Putting it All Together: What helps our companies succeed with the best new learning methods?

The Corporate University Professional Development Network (PDN) is excited to announce our March program, Putting It All Together: What helps our companies succeed with the best new learning methods? We will look at trends and strategies from award-winning companies that use talent development as a strategic business tool to get results. A big thanks to Bruce Mabee, who has served as a judge for ATD's BEST awards for over 10 years and will be leading the program.

In keeping with the PDN’s practice of alternating between downtown and the suburbs, the March program will be in Glen Ellyn. Thanks to Jim Weihrouch for helping coordinate the suburban location.

---

Some companies not only win a global "BEST" Award from ATD, they "put it all together." It's not enough to apply the latest cool learning methods—online, blended, social media, 70-20-10, flipped, agile… What else is creating and sustaining bold new employee and leader behavior—and significant bottom line impact?

The bar has been raised in the last few years:

What is now expected of Learning & Development in BEST performing companies?

What is emerging—not in theory but in actual L&D performance?

What may be next? Is L&D fostering a new Leadership Operating System?

We will be discussing these trends and specific examples of different routes that "BEST" companies are taking. We will also be looking for your examples and challenges, to share next steps that any of us can take.

About the Corporate University PDN

The Corporate University Professional Development Network (PDN) of the Chicagoland Chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATDChi – formerly CCASTD) provides a forum for professionals involved with corporate universities to share information and network. For the purposes of the PDN, a corporate university is defined as "the strategic umbrella for developing and educating employees, customers, and suppliers in order to meet an organization's business strategies." (Corporate Universities, Jeanne Meister, 1998).

Participation is open to all those who have an interest in exchanging ideas, experiences, strategies, etc. related to corporate universities. Membership in ATDChi is not required, but it is encouraged. The PDN was started in July 2003 and meets every other month at rotating locations.
