Program Description:
Earlier this year, Robert Snyder presented to us ten different tools – templates – for teams to improve their trustworthiness. Attendees of that session expressed enough enthusiasm to take a deeper look into a select few of these tools and discuss them at length.
During this 90-minute session, we’ll explore:
• Coachability – a significant amount of feedback is ambiguous or counterproductive. Let’s discuss a tool called the Coachability Menu that reduces unhelpful and ambiguous feedback by focusing on the behaviors within three primary communication channels – meetings, emails and documentation.
• Lessons Learned – most teams ask themselves two questions, i.e., “What did we do well?” and “What could we improve?” What if we used a template that asks team “lessons learned” questions about fourteen different culture traits?
… and if time permits …
• Time Stewardship – good managers are good stewards of their employees’ time; the ideal culture minimizes rework, noise, waiting around, and chaos; let’s look at a tool that tells the manager their performance in being good stewards of their people’s time.
